First Raffle Winner! Are You Next?
Here’s a report from this year’s first Artomatic raffle winner, Denise Dougherty Wamaling:
I’m so excited to be a raffle winner for Artomatic. My friends and I have been going to Artomatic since the first one 10 years ago at the old laundromat building.
She’s using her $200 gift certificate toward a piece called “House and Boat” by Richard J. Bailey, whose installation you can visit on the 4th floor.
Denise also gives a big thank-you to Lisa Harkins, who’s showing her work for the first time at Artomatic and bought Denise the raffle ticket. Congratulations.
If you want in on the raffle action, stop by the Artomatic store or look for the roving raffle ticket sellers. They are friendly and persuasive and will make you feel so good about supporting Artomatic!
Tickets are $5 each. A winner is chosen every Friday at 9 p.m. in the Artomatic store, if enough tickets (80) were sold during the previous week. You don’t have to be there to win.
Pick up a ticket next time you stop by the event. You get a shot at an art shopping spree, and either way your bucks support a local artist and your favorite DC arts show. Everyone wins!

Richard’s work is amazing….I would have done the same thing with the win! Well done, Denise.
