Psst, Don’t Tell! New Video + Book Signing
PostSecret Video @Artomatic Opening Night
BOOK SIGNING EVENT: Saturday, June 13, 7-9pm, 7th floor at Artomatic.
A setup of lights, cameras, microphones, tripods, enlarged postcards on easels, a big white screen – what looked like a film shoot or a piece of performance art grabbed Artomatic visitors’ attention on Opening Night. While a lot of people crowded around the set just curious to find out what was being filmed, others were there to meet a man named Frank Warren.
The creator of PostSecret was there to collect secrets – with a twist – people could share their secrets not only on a postcard but also on video. A crowd had gathered around a table to pick up one of the limited edition ‘PostSecrets from Artomatic’ cards, and to look at a sample of half of the postcards that Frank had received in the mail that day (there were A LOT). As Opening Night got busier, fans lined up to get their picture taken with Frank.
Many wanted to tell him their secrets. The more daring secret tellers spoke right in front of the camera, the shyer ones chose to share behind the back-lit screen so that the camera could only film their silhouette with the bright lights of the Capitol in the background.
What secrets did they tell? Watch the YouTube video here to find out what funny, juicy or outright shocking stories people told:
If you missed the PostSecret video filming, and want to meet Frank, he will be back at Artomatic on June 13 for a book signing with never-before-seen post cards and a preview of his upcoming book: PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God.

We stopped by Artomatic yesterday to check out the space and the load in for our Music set Sunday at 5PM. Breezing through the building is proof that art makes the world a better place. Emptiness transformed into something very special, very personal. Artomatic brings a vibe. No doubt about it.
Even if it is something small. Try to buy something from an independent artist. The piece will always provide a story for you to tell. Glad to be a part of it in a non visual medium. These 1000+ artists rock this town.
